We are pleased to announce that we have selected The Grace Dear Trust as our chosen charity.

TheisCraft is passionate about doing what we can to support our community and thrilled to be involved with this wonderful organisation and the incredible work it does.

‘It’s okay not to be okay’

The Grace Dear Trust was created following the tragic suicide of a beloved daughter and sister, Grace Dear. Grace passed away at just 27 years old in February 2017.

This Surrey-based charity was founded in her memory to save the lives of other young people living with mental illness by raising awareness about mental health and encouraging more people to talk openly about their feelings.

Many young people struggle to understand their feelings and are often left suffering in silence due to a lack of public awareness and funding for mental health. As a result, 75% of mental illnesses start impacting children before their 18th birthday.

According to The Grace Dear Trust, 50% of mental health problems in adults take root before age 15. So, it is crucial to provide resources and support for young people to equip them with the knowledge and opportunity to seek specialist help — before it is too late.

Caring for our local community

Every 40 seconds, someone in the world takes their own life — a heartbreaking statistic that The Grace Dear Trust is hoping to combat.

Through regular events and school outreach programmes, the charity works within the community to spread its message: it is not weak to speak up about mental health struggles. It also runs The Grace Dear Youth Theatre: a safe place for young people to come to talk about their feelings through performing arts.

The whole TheisCraft team is so glad that there are organisations like The Grace Dear Trust doing such incredible, invaluable work in the local area. We are thrilled to be able to offer our ongoing support to help it continue delivering its unique services.
