Theiscraft can finally announce after over 2 years working with the zoo staff and project team, we are so proud of what has been delivered for the gorillas at Jersey Zoo.

The zoo focused on the welfare of the gorillas to deliver a state-of-the-art facility aimed at enhancing and stimulating the troops wellbeing.

The new enclosure is home to the western lowland gorillas since 1959 when Gerald Durrell first brought them to the island and devoted his life to creating a world class environment for them.

2 large viewing spaces and 8 dens along with training and medical facilities.

Theiscraft provided lighting controls focused on the award winning circadian tuneable white lighting control. Through this system we were able to simulate colour temperature of the luminaires using dt8 drivers in the lights and shifting the kelvin colour of the lights according to the time of day, time of year, and location, set by our latitude and longitude, thus enabling the system to set the gorillas native homeland.
