The German Design Council selectively grants awards for innovations they believe shape the future and improve lives.
Described as a new approach for providing indirect light, the T-BAR UP can be integrated into a building structure to provide ambient uplight while only extending 2” out from the ceiling plane. With built in shielding for maximum light reflectance into the room, T-BAR UP can be installed into any suspended ceiling to enhance the ceiling architecture and also provide a more special effect. T-BAR UP is ideal for office open plans and other spaces where a sleek architectural design is desired.
Indirect overhead lighting may not be new, but what is innovative here is the fact the T-BAR UP lights can be harmoniously integrated as an architectural element of the ceiling structure. In addition, the light fitting itself protrudes just 6cm from the ceiling although the reflection produces so much light that the room is amply illuminated.
